Real-life breastfeeding and chestfeeding help in East Hawaii
At Perfect Pair Lactation, we are both mothers and lactation coaches. We’ve overcome our own personal breastfeeding challenges including jaundice, painful latches, low milk-supply, tongue-ties, nursing through pregnancy, breastfeeding toddlers, and pumping at work.
Yes, we’ve even supplemented with formula.
We know that the right support and information can make all the difference. After working with us you’ll feel more confident in your ability to breastfeed and care for your baby.
What We Believe
No one knows your baby better than you.
Breastfeeding isn’t all or nothing.
We welcome exclusive pumpers, chestfeeders, part-time breastfeeders, formula supplementers, and adoptive parents.
We’re here to help you learn more and gain confidence so you can make the best choices for your family
As lactation coaches, we recognize that it is YOU doing the work of feeding your baby. More than simply cheering you on, we support you with evidence-based information, offer tips and tricks gained from our professional and personal knowledge, and guide you and your baby to a confident feeding relationship.
Who We Are:
Allison Hanley, CLC
Allison became a Certified Lactation Counselor in 2015 after noticing a lack of breastfeeding help in East Hawaii when pregnant with her daughter. She has 3 children, 2 of whom were born at home.
Allison overcame the challenges of newborn jaundice and difficulty breastfeeding her oldest son with the help of a lactation professional. Now, Allison is now motivated to nurture parent-baby feeding relationships and to help others succeed in meeting their goals.
As a working mom, Allison is personally experienced with working and pumping, bottle-feeding, formula-feeding, baby-led weaning, nursing through pregnancy, and the “gym-nurstics” of breastfeeding into toddlerhood.
Holli Shiro, CLC, LLLL
Holli has been a La Leche League Leader since 2009 and a Certified Lactation Counselor since 2011.
After encountering many breastfeeding challenges with her first child, including low milk supply and painful nursing, Holli found much needed support through LLL. She became a leader to help other parents avoid and navigate breastfeeding difficulties.
Holli has proudly breastfed two children through toddlerhood and she is dedicated to helping all breastfeeding and chestfeeding families meet their feeding goals for their children.
